50 Years of DEA: Partnerships and Collaborations
Virtual
For 50 years DEA has fought to keep Americans safe and healthy across the United States and around the world. Whether they’re cartel bosses, drug traffickers, narco-terrorists, or corrupt doctors and pharmacists, DEA works tirelessly to bring ruthless and violent criminals to justice.
The people of DEA depend on partnerships and collaborations at home and abroad. Working closely with foreign and domestic governments, DEA provides intelligence, training, equipment, and manpower, with a focus on capturing kingpins and other major figures in drug trafficking organizations. Moreover, DEA seizes their ill-gotten assets and stops drugs in their source countries before they enter American communities. As such, partnerships and collaborations are vital to DEA’s mission.
Joining us on this educational panel discussion are Deputy Chief of Operations George Papadopoulos, Chief of Community Outreach Sean Fearns, and Group Supervisor Jennifer Sweeder. They will discuss the strategic part partnerships and collaborations play in DEA’s work locally and on the global stage.
The first of a series of programs to celebrate DEA’s 50th anniversary, 50 Years of DEA: Partnerships and Collaborations is a panel discussion exploring the important role partnerships and collaborations have played throughout DEA’s history. View the program now below.
