Drug traffickers hide illicit substances in unsuspecting places to avoid arrest and seizure. People, animals, everyday objects, and even works of art can disguise drugs for transportation and sale around the world. Seven hundred grams of heroin were secreted into the bottom of this wooden Thai village model. Its detailed craftsmanship distracted onlookers from the dangerous drug hidden within. In 1990, a Thai trafficker sent the model from Bangkok to an undercover DEA agent operating in New York.
