Anne

Curator of History

Anne develops Museum exhibitions and performs historical research, writing, and other content creation. She also conducts oral histories with retired DEA staff.

Anne holds a PhD in History from George Mason University. Her research has been supported by the Smithsonian Institution, DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, and Cosmos Club of Washington. She has published peer-reviewed articles in Washington History magazine and been a guest expert on several history podcasts. Anne is an expert in visual and material culture and has over fifteen years of museum and public history experience in DC area. Her favorite artifact is the Forward-Looking Infrared (FLIR) camera. Attached to the underside of an aircraft, the camera helps the DEA Airwing spot suspects and illicit grow houses from above by detecting warm objects against cooler backgrounds.
