Emma assists in the care, research, and management of the Museum’s collection. She holds a Master of Arts in museum studies and a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and history. Before joining the DEA Museum, she worked for a variety of institutions, including the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Villa La Pietra, and the National Civil War Museum.
Emma is especially interested in the Museum's collection of gifts from international visitors. One green ceramic elephant was presented to DEA "as a token of cordial friendship from Office of the Affairs under the Royal Initiatives of HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha, Ministry of Justice, Thailand.” Elephants are an important symbol in Thai culture and represent both power and peace. The gift signified cooperation in a global effort to halt illicit drug trafficking and misuse.
