Stories from the Collection: Basic Agent Training Guidon

In this episode of “Stories from the Collection,” the DEA Museum highlights an important symbol for special agents: a BAT guidon. Basic Agent Training (BAT) guidons are forked, or swallow-tailed, flags assigned to classes of new recruits that complete coursework and challenges to become DEA special agents.
